ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is the international specification for environmental management system. The goal for ISO 14001 Environmental Management System is to provide a structured process for the achievement of continual improvement in environmental performance.


The focus of the development of a management system is directed towards improving the internal and external processes of an organization so as to:

  • Enhance environmental performance.

  • Prevent pollution.

  • Comply with relevant environmental legislation, regulation and code of practice.

ISO Releases ISO 14001 and ISO 14004 Revision 2004.

Updated version of ISO 14001 & ISO 14004 were released for publication on November 15, 2004, bringing a great improvement from the 1996 version, with ease of understanding, clearer requirement intent, an emphasis on compliance, and compatibility with ISO 9000:2000.
